This family's unfinished basement was a great opportunity to add living space, but there were several challenges to making it feel well-designed. The owners had several requests- a spacious wet bar, an entertainment area that included a natural gas fireplace and television area, a 3/4 guest bathroom, and a large bedroom that could be used as a work-out room as well. We built the family room to include a tray ceiling that's lighted to add elegance. We added a custom bar area with quartz counter tops and ample seating, The guest bedroom doubles as a workout room and the 3/4 bathroom has a modern tiled shower. With over 1200 square feet of new living space, this family has plenty of room to entertain and enjoy themselves.
Chaska Basement Remodel
An unfinished basement was the perfect opportunity to add living space to this Chaska home. We built a new comfortable family room with a gas fireplace, a wet bar with granite counters and custom gray shaker cabinets, and built-in bookshelves for extra storage on each side of the fireplace with a custom mantel and mosaic tile. We removed a wall and added an oak and iron railing to match the main-level railings and open the stairway. The guest bedroom has ample closet space and feels bright and welcoming with its large egress window. The guest bathroom has a custom tiled shower with a niche and semi-custom glass enclosure, and a luxurious heated tile floor. The family has had many guest and gatherings since we completed the project and everyone has loved the new space!

Minneapolis Condo RenovatioN
Our renovation of this Minneapolis condo is our third project for the owners. This project included removing a wall, electrical and mechanical revisions, new luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring, and a whole new kitchen with custom cabinets, Cambria quartz counters, a ceramic subway tile backsplash, painting and trim work. The results are modern but still warm, comfortable and inviting. Photographer: Jessica Pratt
Prior Lake Renovation
The main level of this home had been largely demolished years ago. We finished demolition and clean-up, then set to work renovating the space so the owners could move in. We removed 4 of the 6 columns in the kitchen, added a bedroom where an outdated office had been, and added a kitchen pantry. We replaced the majority of the plumbing throughout the house, installed new wood-look flooring, custom painted cabinets and granite counter tops, and new 5-panel doors with new trim throughout and a custom iron stair railing. We refinished the badly damaged windows and installed a new front door, as well as many other needed repairs. The new space is beautiful and ready for years of family enjoyment!
